It turns out that all it takes to remove a tattoo or PMU is one procedure. All in order!

If you realize that you dislike the tattoo and need to get rid of it, look for a surgeon. Appoint a session. Come to the procedure. You say, “I need to remove the tattoo.” And the next day, you walk out the next day with clean skin!

Well, almost…

I hear a note of sarcasm…. What’s wrong with surgery?

After the procedure of surgical excision of tattoos and PMU you are promised fabulous results: the pigment will be gone in one session, leaving only an inconspicuous cosmetic suture

A tiny price to pay for getting rid of an annoying tattoo, isn’t it?

And now look at the photo in the carousel. It’s the aftermath of the same procedure, only unadorned. Unaesthetic stitches, hypertrophic scars…

It’s amazing how differently the same procedure can be presented!

Let me say right away: I’m not going to throw accusations and tease the professionalism of surgeons. It’s just that this service has more cons than pros by default.

Why is surgical excision not the solution in most cases?

Let’s go in order

  1. Not all tattoos can be excised successfully. Not all areas of the body allow high-quality excision and sewing of tissues. Sometimes after surgical intervention the skin, roughly speaking, is not sewn (due to the large area of the tattoo, immobility of tissues, etc.)
  2. You’ve already seen in the photo that it’s impossible to avoid scarring.Instead of “cosmetic suture” it is quite realistic to get a noticeable hypertrophic scar (depending on the situation). And with tissue grafting, skin scarring is even worse.

Is laser removal an alternative to surgery?

Yes! Most of the cases where people have resorted to surgery, the laser would have dealt with it easily!

But I have noticed that masters who support the surgical method present laser removal in a negative light. They say it is expensive, time-consuming and dangerous. At the same time, they show the works of grief-masters who spoil the reputation of the procedure.

The client has two options: either to lie on the surgical table, or “definitely” get complications from the laser. In the first case, at least there is a guarantee that the tattoo or PMU will be removed, and quickly and without fuss.

Speed – this is, of course, good. But is it worth paying for quick tattoo removal with scars on the body?

Even if the suture can be camouflaged, the person will be left with a scar on the skin for life.

There are situations when surgical excision is combined with plastic surgery. This option takes place if you are confident in the competence of the specialist. After all, everything must be perfect!

Remember: the problem is almost always solved by laser. You may spend more time and money on visits to a specialist, but your skin will be healthier!
